Glasses anyone?

I love how creative these kids get! They wore these pipe cleaner glasses throughout supper and had so much fun pretending that they couldn't see without them. I guess I can't expect anything different since both Andrew and I wear glasses and are blind as bats without them.

For those who are interested in where we are living right now and what our current 'home' might look like, this picture is taken in the large sunroom at the back of the house. It's probably a 20 x 20 space entirely surrounded with windows. The Shipleys have graciously allowed us to use this room continually, even when they are home, for school, eating and general relaxing. I have a full view of the backyard and so it's a great place to be when the kids are playing outside. I also love to sip a cup of coffee and do my morning devotions here.

A little bit of green

Since my computer does not seem to be recognizing my new import of pictures (and since my technical support team, a.k.a. my husband Andrew, isn't home right now) I'll have to post an old one. This is a picture I took when I first got my new camera, about 9 months ago. I love this tree! I used to walk past it everyday at Village Manor and was always amazed by it. It brings back so many memories of our time in Kentucky and all the people we love there.

Humble beginnings

Hi friends!

If you know me at all and call yourself my friend, you will know that publishing a blog is something I said I'd never do. Never. Well, never say never! Since my family is building a home and currently living in the basement of a friends' house with almost none of our own possessions, I find myself needing a creative outlet. It is my hope to take and post a picture of our everyday lives at least several times a week. So, this is the humble beginning of what I hope will be a learning and creative experience for me. Enjoy!
